Had any spam lately?
Two weeks ago my inbox started to fill up with bouncing spam.
Someone had started sending out spam with forged "From:" addresses
using a random letter/number string attached to my domain name. Any
that went to invalid addresses got sent to me instead of finding their
way back to originator. I gather this is a common trick by these sewer
dwelling slime balls.
The first batch contained the contact details below:
NETWIZARDS
Steve Warren
1601 NW 97th Ave, SJO3016
Miami, FL 33102
1-305-468-6390 phone/fax
The second version advertised marketing services with a contact
number of:
Call 1-800-591-7751 ext:101
Others have followed for cars, etc.
My research indicates that "Steve Warren" is actually Steven
Worrell, last heard of living in Maryland. The address I found through
Google is:
200 E Joppa Road - Suite 304
Towson
Maryland 21286
410-821-1900 x223
What can you do?
If you got any of this spam please help stop him from continuing to
do it. Call the numbers above and complain. Call the numbers and waste
their time. Maybe a few hundred thousand calls to his toll free number
might help! If you live in Towson perhaps you could help by calling on
him directly (take care!) - I have some ideas on the action you could
take but will not go into details here...
Want to use my domain name for spam?
Effective 23 December 2003 anyone using my domain name for
unsolicited email marketing (spam) without prior written permission
from the domain owner (you won't get it) will be subject to a charge of
US$100 for each message sent. I look forward to seeing your money.
